Testimonials
We have had the privilege to help many dog guardians and their dog's. Many have asked for our professional help, others have adopted dogs through us and some, both. Please read their generous comments below so you know your in safe hands!
MIA: Paula Lavandeira 03 Nov 2021: "Jo has been brilliant. I wasn't too sure how it would work but it did beyond my expectations! Her exercises to do with our dog were perfect and with her guidance and expertise we have a very content, confident frenchie."
PEPE & KIZZY: "Having rescued two dogs from Crete, with distressing backgrounds, differing ages and very different needs we wanted to bring some good manners to their daily outings. Jo was and is the woman for the job! It’s been like talking to an old friend every week, very calming, hugely informative and not once have we been made to feel like we have no idea what we’re doing, despite being complete novices in training dogs. It was quite the reverse, we have felt like we can do anything with consistency, patience and understanding of what the dogs need as opposed to what we ultimately want from them. We need to give as much as we are expecting from them, if not more. Jo has managed to lead us in a few short weeks to a place where we never thought we could be with either of our two. We are not there yet but know with a bit more training we will get there. We have seen huge results in a very short space of time and look forward to nailing the recall. We can’t thank Jo enough for her time and kindness throughout the training and are grateful for all the hints and tips along the way, all of which have been easily accessible, communicated clearly and followed up with notes for future reference. It’s not felt like a chore training the dogs, it’s been difficult at times, but never a chore because we go out with the tools we need for success. I would recommend Jo to anyone who feels they can’t or won’t get there with their dogs, you can, you will. Thanks Jo……for everything :)" Louise Fisher, 26 Jul 2021
SVEN: "Jo was absolutely amazing. We used her services for advice around our new puppy, as first time dog owners. Jo really helped us understand where his behaviours were coming from and how to positively reinforce him whilst keeping our sanity. I really loved that Jo also made us feel confident and wasn’t patronising or made us feel stupid at all and that I feel has helped us to provide the best environment we can for our new puppy. Thank you so much Jo you’ve been amazing!" Kerstin Macdonald, 29 May 2021
Paws-Patas Animal Charity: "So many people ask for help with their new companion, especially if it is a rescue dog with issues or just not used to living in a home. Dogs2fosteruk courses are brilliant tools for answering those questions and giving professional and excellent guidance. Asoc. Protectora de Animales/PAWS-PATAS cannot recommend these courses too highly." Janet Franklin, PAWS-PATAS 07 Mar 2021
WOOPY: "We can't praise Dogs2foster UK enough. Jo has been extremely helpful all the way through the adoption process. We've had dogs for nearly forty years, but they'd all been very young when we had them. So adopting an older dog and from another country has been a real learning curve. It was comforting to know that Jo was only a phone call away with advice and words of encouragement. Also it's lovely when we've bumped into other Dogs2foster adopters out on a walk, and to see how happy their dogs are." Barbara and Terry Pearce, 08 Mar 2021
CASSIE & LULA: "I have used several of the Dogs2Foster courses with my two rescue dogs and found them really helpful- neither of the dogs had had any form of training so we were starting from zero and lockdown restrictions meant we were unable to attend dog training classes in person. Working through the courses has been invaluable- even as experienced dog owners we have learnt new things about canine behaviour and motivation. We have completed the recall course recently and have made great progress with both my girls able to be off lead for periods of their walk. My podenco now has a reliable recall - something I never believed would be possible- but she is very treat/food motivated which no doubt helps. My Mastin is a work in progress as she is a stubborn girl but there is definite progress and I have the confidence and reassurance that I can go back and recheck what I am doing in my course notes. We couldn’t be more pleased - brilliant resource- I highly recommend 😃 Gabby Harrison, 15 Mar 2021 thank you!"
SEB & FAYNA: "We rescued the first of our Podencos through Jo who was so helpful and informative throughout the whole process. She gave us the confidence and support to rescue a very anxious boy who has blossomed and is a delight to have. We felt we were well prepared on what to expect. More recently we have rescued a second Podenco from elsewhere and Jo has been fantastic at offering behavioural advice to help us through some really tricky initial introductions which were proving to be very stressful. She was responsive, supportive and encouraging and gave us the confidence to be brave, persevere and happily they are now friends. Thanks for all you support as always Jo. A great service!" Emma B, July 2022
ROSIE: "Again just done another online course from the amazing Jo Brewer, Its title Recall: The Invisible Lead, full of sound advice tips and recommendation enabling you to have the best recall you can from your dog. It is a well designed and easy to implement online course. It has been a HUGE help especially for everyone like me who has adopted a “forever” dog it also explains dog psychology which makes their behaviour so much more understandable. In my case her Prey Drive is particularly challenging! Once again a big thank you for such a great course." Sarah Morton
DASCO: "I can't praise Dogs2Foster UK highly enough. We collected our dog yesterday and feel totally blessed - he is so perfect. The whole adoption process was smooth, professional, friendly and helpful, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anybody else seeking to adopt a new furry addition to their family. We are so grateful and look forward to many happy years with our gorgeous Dasco xx" Anne Rouse
ROSIE: "Just read the most informative and practical course called How to Walk Your Dog on a Loose Lead by Jo Brewer. I wished I’d had this information available to me years ago! It is full of great tips and explains why our dogs do what they do and how to correct the lead walking problems we sometimes encounter. I’ve owned several rescue dogs over the years and after reading this easy to read course I realise that sometimes I’m not remembering how to get the very best from my daily dog walks and neither is my dog! Thank you so much for the easy to follow advice, I’m sure my puppy is grateful also!" Susie Morton
KAILEY: "Can't recommend this place enough. From the initial contact to collecting Kailey the whole experience was excellent. I was matched with Kailey and she came to her forever home on the 28th August, we are the perfect match for each other. Jo Brewer and Paws Patas could not have done more to make it work, I had regular update pictures and videos, regular contact and on the day it was so exciting, easy and stress free. If you are looking to adopt then you have found the right place." Joanna Smith, 2021
RUSSELL: "We cannot thank everyone at dogs2foster and Paws Patas enough. We are so, so happy to have our lovely pup Russell in our lives. A special thanks to Jo for her support and to his foster family who did such an amazing job raising him." Claire Whitlock
LORD BASIL OF MARCHWOOD! "We have recently become the human parents of a 5 month old Podenco puppy called Basil. Dogs2FosterUK organised everything co-ordinating with the team from the PAWS-PATAS rehoming centre. Overall a very easy adoption for us new parents, lovely puppies, well care for & a brilliant team in Spain & here in the UK. Thank you for bringing us our new four legged friend, we hope others will adopt from Dogs2fosterUK & help to give more dogs new forever homes." Ian & Caroline Milne plus Basil
KAIA: "Hoping to adopt a dog, me and my partner downloaded the 'finding the right dog for you' course. It was extremely helpful to make sure we were in the right position to adopt a dog and give it the best care possible, it also gave us a good idea of what type of dog would suit our life the best. I would definitely recommend anyone thinking about adopting a dog to download this and read through!" Emma Pickard
SALLY: "We were looking for a rescue dog and not having much luck, when we heard of Dogs2Foster UK quite by chance, a local charity. Jo was extremely helpful and supportive finding us our beautiful rescue dog from Spain. The process all went smoothly from the administration point of view to the day we collected her. We cannot thank Jo enough, who was always on the end of the phone, if we needed advice and support. We now have a lovely dog, who is part of our family and we wouldn't be without her. If anyone is looking to give a rescue dog a home, then Dogs2Foster UK is a great organisation." Jane Anderson
RED: "We adopted our rescue dog, Red, from Dogs2Foster UK in December and are delighted with him. Jo has been really helpful and easy to work with and she ensured everything went smoothly with the adoption. Jo has continued to be supportive and kindly offered us access to 2 courses, Recall: The Invisible Lead and Helping Your Dog Through Separation Anxiety the courses contained useful information and tips, explained how dogs learn and also explains how our own behaviour can impact on our dog's behaviour. I found them both helpful and I’m pleased to say that Red is doing well with his recall and also improving with his separation anxiety with thanks to Jo." Gillian Warnock
SPROUT: "Excellent advice as usual from Jo. Thank-you." Alan & Liz Hobley
RAGNAR & LADY: "Very good to work with and talk to towards the growth of my 2 dogs. very lovely people." Caimen Townsend
ROSIE: "What a fantastic organisation- the whole process so far in getting our forever pup has been made so much easier by readily given information help and advice by this remarkable organisation. I cannot find anything they could do better - lots of puppy updates videos and information regularly which enables you to keep in touch with your puppies progress. I’m seriously impressed by everyone involved and know I’ve made lovely puppy friends forever. A huge thank you for all you do for these doggies - Susie." Susie Morton 09 Jun 2021
LILO: "Just want to say thank you again for helping with Lilo. You made the puppy stage so much easier and now she is really part of the family!" Best wishes, Lucy, Jordan and Lilo 🐶🐾
LILLY: "Due to COVID we were only able to consult with Jo over the phone, even so her suggestions and ideas have been invaluable for our rescue dog Lilly, thanks to Jo's advice and training regarding recall we were able to confidently let her off the lead for the first time. We only wished we lived a bit nearer to Southampton so we could have some "in person" training once restrictions are eased." Sally Elbro
RAQUEL: "Have spoken to Jo who is very knowledgeable understanding and supportive in our quest to adopt another dog. We are hopefully adopting a Podenco puppy from Spain and I have brought both the Positive Puppy Parenting, Care and Welfare course and Adopting a Rescue Dog Good Guardianship course, they are extremely informative and although we are experienced dog owners we have learnt things as they are clearly using the most up to date research available Thankyou." Jill Hall
BAILEY: "Excellent rescue who support adopters throughout their journey as dog owners. Great to see they have developed their online training to give information and advice." Catherine Hunt
ATHENA: Just a note to let you both know that Athena is settling in brilliantly. You’d think she had always lived here - so relaxed, just pottering around, pleased to have a pat/cuddle but not stressed or anxious if we leave the room and exploring quietly by herself. She’s already met several neighbours who were around outside when she arrived and didn’t seem at all phased … already a local celebrity !. She's been for a nice walk, politely sniffed afew people and dogs, eaten a meal, had afew treats and takes herself downstairs for a drink of water whenever she fancies it - likes looking over the upstairs balcony, already getting used to people and dogs going by. What a wonderful dog - we couldn’t have asked for a lovelier one more suited to our family and all feel extremely lucky to have her. Thank you so much !! Gill, Paul & Emma XXX
GUNNER: After an initial hesitation to adopt due to having a senior dog, we made one of the best choices and adopted from Dogs2Foster! Jo was very helpful and I was kept well informed throughout the process. After the loss of our senior dog, having another pair of paws in the house really kept us going as a family. I totally recommend dogs2foster, especially due to their support and care throughout the adoption process!
